Support
Mountit is small, which is bad for round-the-clock coverage and very good for getting a real answer. Most messages get a reply within one working day, and it will not be a template.
Never paste passwords or private keys. We will never ask for them.
Check for a trailing space — pasting from an email client often takes one along. The key is not case-sensitive and the dashes are optional, so MTIT-XXXX and mtitxxxx are the same key.
If it still refuses, the licence may be at its seat limit. Once accounts exist you will deactivate a Mac from your account page; until then, write to us and we will do it.
Move Mountit to /Applications and restart. An app running from a mounted disk image cannot register a file system extension, and macOS often needs a restart before a newly installed one appears under General › Login Items & Extensions › File System Extensions.
Most often the server’s host key changed — a rebuild, a migration, or a new certificate. Mountit refuses to connect silently in that case, which is the correct behaviour: an unexpected host key is exactly what a machine-in-the-middle looks like. Remove and re-add the connection to accept the new key, after confirming with whoever runs the server that it really did change.
There is no account to sign in to. App Store purchases live entirely with Apple; restore yours inside the app under Settings › Plan › Restore purchases. Refunds for those also go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
We never hold your data — Mountit connects your Mac straight to your server, so there is no copy on our side to recover from. What we can do is read a diagnostic log with you and work out what the server returned. Attach one with your message: Settings › Advanced › Export diagnostics. It contains no credentials.
